The Cloud of Unknowing (Dennis Atandi)

Name: DENNIS ATANDI GEKONDO
REG. NO- 11083T
The Unknown attracts
The cloud of unknowing was written in England in the fourteenth century, by an author whom attempts to discover his identity have so far failed. Meanwhile abstaining from any identification of the author, it can be said that he was a priest and theologian due to the fact he displays a special interest in mystical theology, his chief authority is the unknown writer (perhaps a Syrian monk of the year AD 500) who chose to issue his profound treatises under the style of “Dionisius the Arepagite”. Through this work the author portrays the fact that there still persisted Christian life superior to secular disturbance since the 14th century was a period that was conspicuously neither peaceful nor contemplative.
Motivation
Personal emotions or rather my feelings played a significant role in influencing my choice of this book. Just as its title, I acknowledge not having prior experience of it hence it was unknown
